Album Synopsis

'These Strange Places' is my latest homemade EP, and was written and recorded entirely in hall during my second last semester in NTU in 2017.

These were songs written while I was struggling with the first, terrifying bouts of undiagnosed depression. The tracks detail my personal descent into a depressive episode, starting with the sun setting and ending with an open ended plea for stability.

All of these songs are and will never be performed live. They only exist here, it is almost as if I am afraid and unwilling to revisit these places in real life.

My thoughts are my feet and I am constantly running on a race track.

I keep going round and round and round;

building walls and running from them,

getting hurt, then running from them

But eventually, I was afraid I'd forget.

So I collapsed them.

Now these things I've buried have feet and they run too.

and the race track becomes a strange place.

Some days I don't run fast enough to leave them behind
